I must say I like the idea.

The attacker shoots!
The Goalie blocks the spinning *elf leather ball*
The ball bounces off in an arc!
The attacker picks up the *elf leather ball*
The defender charges at the attacker!
The attacker is knocked backwards and tumbles over!
The defender grabs the attacker by the *elf leather ball*
The attacker loses hold of the *elf leather ball*
The defender throws the *elf leather ball* at the midfielder
The midfielder has caught the *elf leather ball*!
The midfielder charges at the midfielder, but he jumps away!
The midfielder throws the *elf leather ball* at the attacker
The attacker shoots!
The spinning *elf leather ball* hits the goalie in the lower body, but the shot is blocked by the *steel toque*
GOAL!!!! (note: the goalie *is* the goal)
The referee regains consciousness
The referee gives in to pain

There could even be some sort of competition. At the moment, we have   no caravans in winter. Perhaps, a good time to have a dwarfball team   from the mountainhomes come over and play a friendly match against your   home team. The opposing team's difficulty would rise with your   fortresses political status perhaps   (outpost>>barony>country>duchy>mountainhomes)

Earn   nice prizes when you win.. perhaps a full set of masterwork steel armor   at highest difficulty level, or something like that.
