Trying to make Steel Dwarves - what have I done wrong?

It's a simple enough concept - I want to make metal dwarves, not unlike Bronze Colossi, only made of Steel. (Because Dwarves are hardcore, yo.) I want them to have all - or most - of the advantages thereof, most of their various immunities. I can't set them immune to stun or they wouldn't wake up from sleep, and I don't want to set them so they don't have to eat, drink, or sleep, because booze, booze-biscuits and sleeping off your booze is an integral Dwarven experience - also, because I don't want to set them to have no emotions, which means they'll need to be able to sleep in grand bedrooms, dine in grand feasting halls, and drink superior boozeahol in order to get happy thoughts.

However, my attempt to mod them has failed - on world-generation, the game crashes when it apparently attempts to finalize worldgen, after running the history. When I reverted to the old, original dwarves, it didn't fail, so it was my dwarf modding that blew everything up. Hence, I've done something wrong; I just have no idea what. Here's the modification I made to their file.

I'm thinking it might have something to do with keeping all the individual style stuff whilst mucking with their body tag, but I just don't know. Is there some egregious things I've gone and screwed up? I want to keep the individual style stuff as much as possible, but I still want them made of invulnerable steel (or, well, vulnerable steel, but still stupidly strong steel.) Is there something I've screwed up here?

You named the tissue 'BRONZE' and then made the game look for a tissue called 'STEEL' to make the creature out of.  Change [TISSUE:BRONZE] to [TISSUE:STEEL].

Nope. That must have helped, but that didn't prevent the crashing.

I've got a working version in, but I stripped out pretty much everything that wasn't in the Bronze Colossus entry.

might be a stuipd questions but do they survive in the areana mode? because if they can't live on their own World gen will fail due to no playable race, then again I have'nt been modding for awhile so go ahead and mark me wrong haha

You might want to strip out every reference to hair, skin, and nails since they don't have any.  What does the errorlog.txt say?
