In any case, I don't see how anyone plans to stop a massive bill like this through petition. All they have to do is ignore you.

We really should make a blacklist of every politician guilty of such treason, and conscientiously keep them out of politic by never voting for them again.

Pestering your MP about stuff at least puts it in their minds for a couple of seconds. And if you get a lot of people pestering then they might just take it to parliament.

But, since we're such a reasonable country our politicians evidently know what is best for us.
