Unfortunately, all speculation on the development of Discworld as a story is now a moot point. Terry Pratchett has Alzheimer's.

And yet he's still writing.

I've read them all.
The newest book, "I shall wear midnight", is incredibly dark.
Tiffany Aching has changed quite a bit from the previous novels.

Also, the next book is a watch novel.
I cannot wait.

Well it is by its very nature a setting that can fluxuate.

In fact Discworld is one of the few universes where plotholes are not plotholes.

Sir Samuel Vimes is the baddest mofo on the planet, and is a shining beacon of what it means to be lawful good.

I've red all the book, all very legally gotten, legitimately. >_>

my faves are by far the watch, and the industrial revolution ones.

the deats ones are also great.

Sweet, I'll have to see if I can pick that one up.  Glad to see a dark one after Unseen Academicals.
My county libraries already have 4 on order!  And only 2 holds, better get it on hold ASAP.

And Watch novel hell yeah!

I hate Unseen Academicals and the Rincewind series was already over before that. Right?

There's a Discworld adventure game. It's abandonware. It took me ages to track down, but there IS a version downloadable with the full voices in it, which are done by some rather famous voice actors (including a couple Monty Python members). Not sure what Toady thinks of linking abandonware downloads though.

There's at least 3 (4 if you count some ultra old 8-bit game with sprites that look like crushed shrimp). Discworld 1 and 2, which are zany point-and-click adventure games voiced by Eric Idle (of Monty Python), and Discworld Noir which is more like a 2.5D adventure about a private detective, a bit like Grim Fandango.
