fortress abandonment
« on: October 21, 2010, 06:34:22 pm »

Is there any way in which i can stop or get around the item displacement when abandoning a fortress?

cause I'm making a dungeon in which to play on in adventure mode, and i don't want
the strategically placed loot i have made a part of the dungeon.

are there any known ways or easy fixes? i really want to be able to do what i want to do.

The heavier the object, the less will it move, IIRC. So lead bins are a fine idea.

There's also the Display Case mod which will allow you to preserve items in furniture form. I don't know if it's possible to break a built item down into its component parts in adventure mode, however.

Perhaps if you rig the floor under the display case to collapse, it will deconstruct and result in the item?
