So I go crazy and engrave every inch of my fortress. . . Now I can't tell where anything is.  Is that a bed or a picture? -- ignore engravings and you can find what's there.

I set up mining against a wall of caverns and the viwe becomes black there due to tile colors -- where did I dig? --  ignore walls and see the digging path.

I build a red workshop next to a red wall because I don't feel like having my dorfs run all over to kingdom come in order to make a stupid Soap-makers workshop but now I can't see the wall  so that I can keep building -- ignore workshops

The object ignored could change to a single color or colorless

1. This exists, it's under designations. It's called 'Toggle engravings'.

2. What kind of stone did you designate? I thought they all changed shade.

3. I'm pretty sure something like this also exists already.

1 thanks.

2 less important some change shade to black.  so I see unexplored space.  some rocks are dig colored and that makes it confusing too.

d>b>h
hide the buildings or items on the designated tiles, doesn't hide constructions, like floors and walls, but hides regular buildings like bridges, furniture and workshops
