IMO, the whole thing was overexaggerated. She just put a cat in a bin. Cats are survivalists, they'll get out and live. It's not like she threw them in a river or kicked its head. I know a kid who cut the balls off a cat and made it run around panicking and bleeding. That's animal cruelty.

It's also nothing compared to DF, where the cats would not only be put in a bin, but they'd be drowned slowly in magma or skinned and eaten.

Well.... bins are like cages... except without the oxygen holes.  But I'm sure a hole or 2 could be punched in...

No, no they won't. They can't get in a position to open the lid, and many cats wouldn't have the strength to. If nobody had heard it when they did (and they only heard it after 15 hours) it would have died. Just because there are worse acts of animal cruelty out there doesn't mean this wasn't deplorable.
