Looking for a certain game...

I'm looking for a rougelike where I can use more than one character from the start. preferably a moddable one. Any help?

Roguelikes with more than one character are a pretty tall order.  You want a party-type environment in a turn-based game?  I mean, I know I've seen one experimental game like that years ago (was it a TIGSource thing?  I don't remember) but it's weird.  Don't see how it's supposed to work.

Only one I can remember off the top of my head is Guild. There's another one, but I can't remember the name of it. Unlike Guild, the party couldn't split up and move around, but you did start with four different characters in your party. Gimme a bit to chew through roguebasin and I can probably hunt up the name again.

EDIT: Minutes later... As for the easily moddable bit, I'm 90% sure there currently isn't any. Might be some in development, but there just aren't many party based roguelikes around.

Wasteland is kind of like a rougelike... Fallout was based on it.

Well hell!  If Wasteland counts, then you might as well bring up Starflight and Starflight II then--or more specifically, their unofficial sequel, Protostar.  :3

That's a pretty far jump considering Starflight, etc, are the same sort of game as Star Control 2 and not remotely roguish at all.   Even less so than Wasteland.

OP, try looking into Mordor:  Depths of Dejenol.

And not a single player party game, but a roguelike with parties and multiplayer, maybe not even a roguelike...not sure if the dungeons are random.
