Digging ramps under Murky Pools cause caveins [38C]
« on: March 19, 2008, 01:54:00 am »

Didn't see this anywhere else.

I was trying to create a crater to build a city in, and was using mass ramp designations to make clearing the ground faster. Unfortunately, when I went to clear under the murky pools in the area, the tiles collapsed downward.

I ran another experiment where I went into a non-frozen area and mined all out under a murky pool. Nothing. went under another murky pool and mined everything out but two or three squares. turned them into ramps and the tiles *directly* above them collapsed, all other tiles were unaffected.

I'm guessing this is related to the fact that you cannot channel Murky pool tiles? No real clue on the matter, but murky tiles collapse on the miners instead of getting removed when digging ramps.

I might have handled this for next time already, but I'll take a look at it again.
