Uhh... was I supposed to remove that?
« on: October 18, 2010, 12:18:21 am »

It starts off as a common pest problem. Kobold is caught sneaking in the fortress, soldier is sent to kill said Kobold. However, in the aftermath, I found a very strange item on top of the castle wall.

guts.

I checked the combat log. Apparently, the speardwarf who was sent to kill the Kobold somehow sliced off the guts when they popped out of the kobolds body. The Kobold became very sick, but didn't die for several more turns when the Speardwarf finally decapitated them.

This reminds me of the time when Urist pounded a goblin so hard, that it flew 15-20 tiles away and landed on a treetop. DOA. The battleground was one z-level higher than the tree (but the treetop was at same level). I had to fell the tree to access the corpse and the items.

Fooooore! *POW*

Hmm. Golfblin?

Back in 40d I had a fort where I kept finding goblin limbs wedged in the fortifications on the second and third floors of my guard tower. It was kind of annoying because nobody would collect them.

Why does my adventurer keep crying?
Greiger's is actually correct...  sadly enough.  The emotional circumstance processor is still turned on, with a randomly rolled up personality, but they can't express themselves or take control...  they can only cry.

Did you have collect outside refuse on?

I was once doing a test in the arena pitting 50 dwarves against 50 dwarves with moderately better shields to see what effect quality had.  I decked them out in cotton candy armor, except I didn't know that you had to give them two gauntlets and two boots in the item list, cause each line only gives them one.

So all the dwarves went at each other completely armored except for their left hands and feet.

I had a pile of about 80 severed left hands+feet when the carnage ended.

In my previous fort I had a wounded war dog that was dragging around two tiles of guts.

Yuck.

I wonder, what would they do if someone killed their king.
Inevitable, who cares. Now an onion...

When I played 40d, my weapon traps would fling body party in all directions, on top of walls, 20 tiles away.

It's HILARIOUS.

Give cats natural metallic armor and throw them in your danger room.  Also allow their mouth and tail to grasp (shield in mouth, weapon in tail xD)  Have a cat based military.  You know, do the same with all tame animals xD send in the cats as shock troops to disrupt the archers

Yeah, I had something similar happen.
It was more satisfying though, because it was a cat.
