But actually I just have mountains of unicorn corpses at my doorstep. Not so nice.

Once I bought a toaster from a catalog and guess what?  It was blue

The only thing serene in this game is a corpse. And sometimes not even that.

On topic, yes, aren't unicorns fun?

Capntastic, I understand your point, I got your message...

But I read your comment and then realized, I genuinely never have seen or heard of, a blue toaster. Not once. Admittedly, yes, the Brave Little Toaster was blue, but I presume this to be cartoon depiction of his chrome surface. I'm tempted to go googling for blue toasters now.

Corpses are remarkably non-violent.

Didn't you hear?  That's the dwarven description of 'serene.'

'CE-rene: adj.  A place filled with creatures that won't fight back.  This grassland will be quite serene once we've cleared it of all indigenous life.

Corpses are remarkably non-violent.

You'd think so, right up until the corpses of whales start clawing out of the sea to kill you.

Corpses? No breeding program as for yet? Oh and make bone crafts :P h and cook the other white meat.

IIrc there was some movie from the 80's where some kids try to save the last unicorns from some monster (and i dont mean "the last unicorn" since that was about a unicorn getting laid or something). Heck its somehow unsettling that df begins to mimick Movies from the 80's.

Serene forests are my favorite embark spots because of those horned wonders. Unicorn meat is valuable enough to keep dwarves happy, especially when manufactured into meals (with sunshine for flavor if you can spare some), and unicorn bones/leather fetch a nice price from caravans. If you've got a bunch of dead unicorns, grab a dwarf, give him/her a butcher's shop, and let the money start rolling in!

And of course, the latest dev post leads me to believe that plain old Dwarf corpses might be more lively than they currently are...
