I've been seeing issues with C-Fort designations just vanishing. There are no cancellation messages - I designate a smooth wall, come back later and all but perhaps two or three tiles of it are fortified. I open the designation menu and find that they aren't even designated anymore, so I re-designate them and eventually it gets done.

If I find a way to reliably reproduce this I'll post it...I don't recall this ever happening in my previous fortress.

Old bug, basically you'd designate a spot have a dwarf come along, and when he finishes kills the designations on all sides of him (like cleaning, only without actually doing the work).
