[38c] flow-related lag while paused

I linked the ocean to the aquifer.  Obviously, things slowed to a crawl.  What I'm unsure about is why things slow down so much *while I'm paused*.  It takes about a second to respond to a keystroke.

This is mac, if that matters.

Edit: The screen said *PAUSED*.  After verrrrry slowwwwwly moving around a bit I got to where I could see the amount of surface water.  It was changing.  Even when I was paused.  But after a couple minutes, it stopped changing and moving around is quick now.

It lagged so much it hadn't paused yet.
