I've been advancing through z levels so far quite easily now with "Up/Down Stairway", but I've ran into a problem.  I had to block off one of the Up/Down Stairways about 15 z levels down, and now the guy that removed it can't get back up.  I figured I could just go up 1 z level and build another Up/Down Stairway, but that didn't work.  My second plan was to simply build a downward stairway with a different dwarf 1 z level higher, and an upward stair on the level he's stuck at to connect the two.  While building the downward stairway works, it won't let me construct the upper one.  My final plan of attack was to channel a floor one z level above him and then try to build an upward ramp, and that failed too.  So what's the plan?

Nevermind.  Upward ramp on the wall worked.
