I'm going to assume you have no military at all, if you do, you can skip down a bit.

Hit (n) and set yourself a militia commander. Exit
Hit (m) and (c) to create a squad.  Fill it up as much as you like. Exit.
Hit (s) - (a) - (m) then select and area near the olm.

That's the quick and dirty, ask and we can expound.

That killed 2 of my Dwarfs.
Is there any other way to get rid of it?

Other than having dwarfs attack it?  Uh, do you have any traps?  Do you have any weapons at all?  Hard to help more when i know nothing about the situation other than that there is an olm.

Your stocks screen (z) -> (stocks) will show you what you have.  If it was a default start you should have 2 copper axes and 2 copper picks.  There are some bugs with making woodcutters and miners soldiers and them not using those weapons, so you might want to take that labor away from them temporarily, wait a few moments for them to drop the weapons and them assign them to the squad.

Labors are assigned by hitting (v), highlighting the dwarf and hitting (p) - (l).  Just hit enter on the labors to de/activate.

One of my non-military miners walked into the olm and killed it. Now the miner is flashing red. Is there anyway to fix that?

Edit: It is now resting but still flashing red.

Hit (v) again, highlight him and hit (w); you'll be able to see his wounds there (use the numpad +- to scroll down if you need to).  Right now, it's really a crapshoot whether an injured dwarf will live or die or be useful ever again.  If you really want to try and help him you could set up a hospital, but that's a bit of an act of congress.  It would probably be much easier to just let them do their thing and do without that dwarf if you have to until the next migrant wave.  You can use the labor screen again to give any other dwarf the mining labor if you need to.
