Muck Root Farming

Well, my farming only fortress is going quite well so far.  Just got my underground aboveground croplands established.  For some reason though, it won't let me grow any muck roots.  At first I thought it was maybe because I didn't have any muckroot seeds in the stockpiles but it gives me the option of planting whipvines which don't grow on this map.  Now uh, I've harvested a few of them, just waiting for my brewer to get around to them.  If they grow naturally here, why can't I farm them?

Check the wiki. Muck Roots, Bloated Tubers and Kobold Bulbs can't be farmed since they do not have seeds (yet). You can only get them by gathering or trade.
