How can I take the stuff from the people i slaughtered?

Hey

I was hiking in the mountains.Suddenly I saw a little cottage.strangely there were like 10 unconscious human in there.weapon smiths,bowyers,knights,hunters gem crafters and etc. (why the f** were they unconscious)
I think they were drunk and had a sex orgy because several of them were lying on each other(no srysly,could that be?)

Now to my questions.
Could I take their stuff as they were unconcsious?
How can I take their stuff now(from their multilated corpses that is)
Why didnt my adventurer kill them clean?I mean,did he have to rip their limbs apart?Couldnt he just put his sword in their heart?

also, they were all asleep. lack of space = sleeping together

Stand over their corpses and press "g".

If you can't get anything from them they probably weren't wearing anything, which further reinforces your claims.

Eh, I tried getting the skulls out of them but never managed to. :P

And yes, they have NO items...
