Trying to make an alchy reaction.
« on: September 27, 2010, 03:06:00 am »

Long time lurker here finally coming out of my shell  :P

I was wondering if someone could help me with a few questions I had. I looked over the Wiki modding guide and I'm going to make an alchemy shop. What I want to do was take stone and a raw gem and spew out a custom log.

1. Can I even MAKE a custom log? If not, can I at least rename an existing log?

2. Are there any unforeseen issues with this concept that, as a new modder, I''m totally unaware of?

Download the Sawmill Mod from the DFFD as a reference.

Judging by that to create a custom log you also have to create a custom plant to associate it with, in the Sawmill mod the plant is farmable underground (grow the plant, process it at the new "Sawmill" Building into a Log).

I wouldn't imagine that changing it to an alchemical process would be all that different, though a stone & a gem is going to be an expensive input.

Oh I intended it to be quite expensive :) My Alchy is a serious downgrading method. I plan on doing it to help balance out situations where I end up with absurd surpluses of things. And I'll go download it right now, I had noticed it earlier anyways. Thanks for the input
