Quick hauling question
« on: September 22, 2010, 09:15:57 pm »

Do masons/carpenters need 'Hauling Items' enabled to haul their furniture to a respected plot? Also do they need 'hauling stone' to move the stone to the masonry workshop?

Nope. They only need masonry / carpenters enabled.

Er, they do *not* need hauling enabled to get materials to complete a "Masonry/Carpentry" type job.

If you are talking about hauling furniture created by masonry/carpentry, that goes under the "Furniture Hauling" job.

Making a Bed is Carpentry, building a bed is Furniture Hauling.

Also, hauling the bed from the carpenter's shop to the furniture stockpile falls under the "furniture hauling" labour. As it is for all other workshops: the dwarf with the appropriate job gets the raw materials from whatever place they are, but storing the finished product is a hauling job.
