Enabling whip production after the beginning of a game.

I began a game, and did a few years with it.  I intended my dorfs to be able to produce whips, but had forgotten to add in the flag before the start of the game.

I went into the save, added the flag to the save's raws, but I still can't manufacture whips at all.

Is what I'm trying to do possible, or is everything set in stone once I begin the game?

IIRC you need to gen a new world when you add custom reactions.

It's not a custom reaction, it's adding the tag to the civilization file letting them use whips.  Unfortunately, that also requires you to gen a new world.  Civilizations take their permitted equipment list from the raw files when the world is generated, but editing those raw files afterward has no effect on the civilization.

Agree, plus that's about the LAST thing *I* want to see from this kind of game - author spending valuable development time on useless graphics.

but... dwarves CAN wield whips? the only problem is making them...
