Import / Export Values are inverted?
« on: September 19, 2010, 01:15:40 pm »

Hey everyone,

I started trading quite a bit, probably around 50k worth of dwarfbucks.

But when I looked at the values imported is way higher than exported. Since you can't sell things for 'dwarfbucks' is the exported value the difference of left over? for example I trade with someone, and leave 1k profit tot he trader. The only value added to exported wealth is 1k?

Thanks,
V

You will rarely have an higher value for export than for import,
as the import value includes things like the clothes/ equipment of the dwarves in your immigration waves
and even includes the equipment oif the goblins that try to invade you.
Seems like DF sees the goblin invaders as little traders, that trade death by your traps and military dwarves
for everything they carry with them

LOL. I never would have figured that "goblin imports" would be calculated in there too.

Engraved on the monitor is an exceptionally designed image of FPS in Dwarf Fortress and it's multicore support by Toady. Toady is raising the multicore. The artwork relates to the masterful multicore support by Toady for the Dwarf Fortress in midwinter of 2010. Toady is surrounded by dwarves. The dwarves are rejoicing.
