I've noticed a strange bug concerning wild animals escaping from dwarves who are transporting them.
My current fortress is situated in a benign biome bordering on an evil ocean. Meaning from one side I get Skeletal Fish, and on the other I have hordes of unicorns and satyrs that occationally spook or trample my woodcutters. To cut down on the number of accidents involving good aligned animals I've set up several traps for them, however being the concerned player I am I decided to use cage traps.
Clearly, this measure produced problems. After a year my fortress was flooded by untrainable unicorns and satyrs. To fix part of this I gave unicorns Pet_Exotic and Trainable (If nothing else, it allows me to USE the unicorns I capture... and slaughter the corpses), however I decided that since I had half as many satyrs as unicorns show up on the map that I could put them all into a single cage and just sell them to the human amd dwarvem caravans.
However, during the transfer I had a pair of satyr escape, one of them severly injuring my Dungeon Master. (Broken foot. He's recovreed). And ever since they have idled near where the cages used to be. They completly ignore my dwarves, and my dwarves completly ignore them. I sent my military up there a shot time ago with harassing wild animals eneabled, and they did nothing.
Now I'm not complaining, but this is definatly a bug. I've had this problem before with a unicorn, but I wrote it off as the game considering the unicorn tamed. However, I CAN'T tame satyrs. I havn't touched their file at all.
