Ranged Weapons.

I two questions about ranged weapons.
1: Is there a way to change the range of those weapons?
2: If SHOOT_FORCE and SHOOT_MAXVEL are different, will the skill of that weapon affect the force of the weapon?

The range is very good for most weapons, as I found that when I gave my dwarves a line of sight of 1000 (insane eyesight) they tried shooting something from the edge of the map at the mountian fort, the ammo just landed about 50 tiles away from targets lol, so even if you make weapons shoot farther, the user must be able to see that far to use this new weapon

It's hard coded, along with firing speed, IIRC.

Shame. Looks like my pistol crossbows will have the same range as my abalest then.
