The story is as follows: You play as Bunny, a bunny girl who got caught in a Nuclear Catsplosion of the Other kind and suddenly grew cat ears. And then some bunny wise man comes and shows you to the cave where you can undo the curse that gave you cat ears. And then suddenly he gets attacked by a wild steer and gets stabbed 24 times and dies.
Controls are simple:
Z to attack
X to jump
C to use special abilities (You'll need to unlock them first)
- Tap C to toggle time stop
- Hold C to access reverse time, where a ghost of you will repeat actions you've done in the room.
- Press C after dying to sacrifice a bunny doll in order to redo that area. There's a limited amount of bunny dolls though and no way to retrieve them.
A or Escape to access the options/map
The arrow keys control movement and attack direction, you can attack in seven directions (But not straight down)
Once you get the dash boots, double tab left or right to dash.
S to take a snapshot (I still haven't figured out where the snapshots go though...)
Crouch in front of objects to interact with them.
Down+Jump to backdash
Crouch in front of the Sun and Moon statues to save your game and refill your life/time meters. Your time meter can also be refilled by defeating enemies/torches and collecting the purple triangle things; they go to you so don't worry about getting them manually.
You won't be able to walk to the right until you get the gears that should be directly to your left.
The game handles like a traditional Metroidvania game would, but it's HARD; but I'll let you see it for yourself. Thankfully, Bunny's got plenty of moves to even the odds.
In addition to being able to attack in 7 directions while standing, her roll jump fires projectiles in all directions. It's so great it's awesome. Also, straight jumping (Not holding left or right when you jump, you can still maneuver afterwards) and landing on an enemy or projectile will damage it. Nearly every projectile can be destroyed too.
Like Castlevania, you'll find other weapons throughout the game. Unfortunately, you can only carry one weapon at a time, and there's no way to switch back once you take a weapon powerup. The destructible items (Torches) will always drop the same item though, so memorize their locations. Loading the game makes your weapon revert to the default rapid-fire throwing dagger (Self-Shooter).
Also, you can "Active guard" enemy attacks by pressing the directional key in the attack's direction before being hit, which will nullify the attack completely, whether it's from a beam laser, flamethrower, or even enemy melee. AND it can be used in the air as well.
The game is Japanese though, and might not work if you don't set your region correctly.
