Zombie invasions.
« on: September 17, 2010, 06:06:20 pm »

So I've heard about zombie invasions in oilfurnace and syrupleaf, do zombies randomly attack forts ala goblin seiges, while in haunted/sinister/whatever areas? Or is this a mod?

If it is a mod, what mod is it?

Thanks in advance.

Suppose you can get added zombie mods, but no zombies dont attack like goblins, they are simply the WILDLIFE of haunted-terrifying locations.

There were no zombies in Syrupleaf. Were you thinking of Headshoots?

In Evil biomes, most of the wildlife you encounter in the normal versions of those biomes will be turned into either zombies or skeletal creatures.

Evil biomes also give you undead cavern creatures.

Yeah, I'm aware of that much, I just can't imagine they'd attack all that often.

I'm currently embarking in a haunted desert.

I'm sure I'll be eating my words shortly.  :P

Let's put it this way, the second they die, 5 more spawn and make a b-line for your fort...

Zombies and skeletons are pretty serious now.  I have lost several sweet embarks to skelepahnts recently.

!!Elves!! would actually be kinda cool as a civ symbol.  !!Clowns!!, however, you get the impression they're on fire of their own free, malicious, evil, will.

Also, much scarier if literally clowns.

If you wanted actual zombie invasions you'd have to mod in a civilized "zombie" race.

Coincidentally I've been thinking about this.  I need to go hang out in the mods forum a bit more.  It'd probably take a lot of work (if possible) to make "Orc", "Tauren" and "Forsaken" and revamp the "(Blood) Elf" and "Troll" civs and make them friendly with each other.  Then add "Gnomes", "(Night) Elves" and "Draenei" and have them be friendly with dwarf and human civs.  Totally rework goblins.  Then add the "Scourge" civ who hates everyone...

I don't understand, though that is about right with anything DF related.
I just hope he dies the same death that all dwarfs deserve: liver disease.
