Imagine my horror when I  discovered a nasty babysnatcher making off with on of my children! Luckily I was able to kill the snatcher as it was near the edge of the map ( a fisherdwarf just happened to be nearby )


The baby was freed and happy, and started crawling back to fort.


But when I looked inside the bag...



Babies galore!!!

This was Aquillion's 750th post, over 4 years.  Not only is Aquillion the first Bay Watcher to get to 750, but the posts have been thoughtful or properly amusing.  Hopefully Aquillion will be back to this thread to see the prize:

THis is happening to me too. i am using the latest version.

Is there a way to release ghost children from the bags?

No, the child itself should get out immediately once the bag is dropped.  The ghost children would probably mess up the game if they got out, or at best do nothing or teleport the child that is out already.

Perhaps they turn into ghosts which haunt the area where they died, where their corpse is burried, or just the fortress in general?

Ghosts in movies seem to be around because of some tragic event, and being kidnapped by goblins would be pretty tragic. Being haunted by a child ghost could perhaps make a crafter go into a fell mood, making them create a sewn image or something telling of it.

Or perhaps let them tell a ghost story to children around a meeting hall.

In current version most children get out normally. Some create ghosts, but when the ghost is released (by bringing bag to trading post), children are teleported to where the bag was (furniture stockpile). Problem appears when children were sleeping (in barracks) - they never get up, get dehydrated and die horribly.
