Yeah. And in DND, orcs and goblins, are very very different things. And weren't the big guys the suppose to be orc/goblin hybrids.
Again. Lord of the Rings and dwarf fort should be different.
Now back to halflings. And this is purely from a DND point of view, as I have been a DM for several years. Lets see when it comes to magic they like to use illusions(not relevant now). They steal compulsively. They are good at hiding. They dont get afraid easy. And if they used any kind of ranged weapon it would probably be a sling or a small crossbow, or just a thrown rock. Travel in squads of 2-4, 11-20, 30-100. They would use dogs as mounts. They would be fast, but very weak. They would be half the size of humans on average. They dont like to be bored, and would cause trouble to end it. They never hoard. Usually spend all there stolen loot right away. Though they do collect random things. They generally will live with other races. So we could find 1 or 2 in a village.
Looks- They would have dark hair, usually straight, very rarely beards, and never mustaches. Weighing 20-40 pounds
Age- They live 100-200 years, and become adults around 20.
Towns- They generally have secluded village, and will pick up and move if they can make more wealth elsewhere. Usually near other races. Some are completely nomadic.
Names- I could name a bunch, but we probably get into copy wrote material there.
You dont have to use any of that, but its just my thoughts on the situations and a way of getting back on topic.
