You are probably going to post a link telling me where it's been answered.

But!

I was just catching up on the Reports, and what is this about detailed maps? Like this:  http://www.bay12games.com/dwarves/imgs/farm1.png

If your question is how to get such maps, open a world in legends mode and press d for export (d)etailed map. They're saved in your DF folder.

Oh, I had no idea I could actually get them, I just thought they were flavor he was trying out.
