Strangely enough, of all his movies, I liked "Tokyo Godfathers" the most. Maybe because it lacked that, otherwise typical of his works, sudden transition from logical to absurdity(or supernatural, if you will).
Or maybe because I always root for misfits and damaged people.

That said, I would've certainly watched whatever else he'd make without much hesitation. He was certainly an original filmmaker, and how many of these do you get nowadays?

I am stunned to have just learned this.  Stunned and saddened.  His work has moved me in many ways and I am thankful for that.
