rotten food no longer stated as rotten?

bought some cow cheese.. left in depot.. something rots, miasma, "other" food count drops.. but under "t" cow cheese is still shown as cow cheese (as opposed to rotten cow cheese)

... later on.. see "cow cheese" in refuse pile.. but no mention of rotten anywhere despite it being so..

no idea about other food yet..
