My legendary engraver threw a tantrum due to art defacement (oops), and got jailed for breaking his own cabinet. He then tried to meet with the mayor to yell at him, but couldn't get to the office because he was in jail. After a while, he stopped trying to meet and got an unhappy thought "... was unable to find somone to yell at."
Ever since then, my mayor has been trying to conduct a meeting. It never ends, and nobody else can meet with him. I currently have a human merchant princess and an outpost liaison sitting in his office while he attempts to conduct a meeting (presumably with my engraver). The princess and her bodyguards have been there for two seasons without going insane. The mayor can and does interrupt his "Conduct Meeting" task to go do other things if I turn on other labors.
In addition, my engraver, who finally calmed down and served his jail sentence, refuses to do any jobs at all. He spends all his time hanging out in his former jail cell, even though I've removed the restraint, the door, and everything else in the room, including zones (there were none). He picked up a pick when I told him to become a miner, and he sleeps, drinks, and eats normally, but that's all. He has the happy thought for being free, and he can leave the room, so he isn't jailed. He just can't (won't?) work on anything. I assume this is also related to the failed meeting to yell at the mayor.
All this happened in v.33c, although I started this fortress in 33a. I've been saving seasonally, so I can provide before and after saves if that will help.
