broken bones

is there a way to mod bones so that they can heal without being put in a splint or cast or w.e?

You may just be able to lower the HEALING_RATE value in the bone tissue template in tissue_template_default.txt, but even if you do that, you may have to still use surgery/medical items. I honestly don't know. But it's the most immediate solution that comes to mind.

well what i did do was use runesmith and increased the recuperation stat to like a million but that only seemed to heal skin and muscle damage, my bones are still broken after like an hour.

so it seems like i need to do something in the files. iono
