XXXX cancels Pond Small Animal, Could not find path. x22

What's the matter here?

It's the same guy all the time, or different guys?  If it is the same guy, go take a look at him.  Sometimes dwarves get stuck.

Different guys.  It's going through my nobles, because they are the only ones sitting around.  They seem to get to the pond, sit there spamming the message, then leave.  Then another noble gets the job, and does the same thing.

Is the animal they are trying to pond inaccessible?  Or do they carry it to the pond?
