Aggressive Caravan
« on: August 21, 2010, 02:10:42 pm »

I've hit a map and it seems nice.  Nothing scary out there, just a couple of slug/snail men.  Apparently they're not aggressive, so I leave them alone.  After all, they don't leave anything useful behind.

But then I look around and notice that they're dead.  I don't even have a military yet.  There is, however, a bunch of guards from the visiting caravan.  Checking the 'reports' I find they've been slaying the poor creatures.

Is there any way to stop this?

You could wall them off or put them in cages with cage traps, but otherwise i have no idea.

Yeah, create a walled in wildlife reserve.

you could start a military and kill them first.

It might be best to trap them with cage traps first as they might interrupt construction of a nature preserve if left to their own devices. Then you could wall off the area and either pit them into it or set up the cages and open them from afar with a lever.

I must say it's not often you see someone on this board expressing pity for innocent creatures getting slaughtered.

Well, when the game does it automatically without help from the player, it's like watching someone else torture cats.

Which just isn't as fun as doing it yourself...
