Gem blocks
« on: August 25, 2010, 09:04:00 pm »

Since you can smooth un-mined gems into gem walls... shouldn't you be able to construct gem blocks?
They would probably be created at a Jewler's workshop(Using the gem cutting profession), and then they would be handled by masons, making constructed gem walls, constructed gem floors, gem workshops, ect.
Instead of directly producing blocks, it could be made instead that you make gem stones which could then be handled at a mason's workshop(Or anything else that uses stone) to make stuff.
Thoughts?

Makes sense. If you can construct a fortress out of blocks of stone, metal, wood, and/or soap, you should be able to do the same with gems.

Apparently having a redundant creature entry causes the game to say, "Oh, look, it's crazy world now. Nothing makes sense! Alligators live in houses!"

Technically you are smoothing gem veined stone into gem encrusted smooth stone.
I'd think encrusting stone blocks would mane more sense.
