It is a mystery, of a universal constant which has eluded mankind still, for a simple reason.
"I'm sorry, but people are idiots. I am an idiot."
Dissecting this simple statement into its component parts, we find several constants.
"I'm sorry,-
indicates that due to the enormisity of the truth we can not help ourselves to avoid it any more than a tea leaf can avoid being plucked, dried, ground up and shipped in a tiny bag to be dipped in a cup of hot water in southern britain.
-but people are idiots.-
clearly states the horrible truth, no matter how smart we appear to be, how great our achievements, how wondrous our efforts, how well prepared we go, we're not perfect and have at some point in our lives, stubbed the proverbial mental toe.
-I am an idiot."
confirms this truth by acknowledging it in the speaker, thus proving its validity by admitting ones own failings. And completing it in a short, overgeneralizing statement everyone automatically hates for no real reason than the fact they have a hard time disproving it.
This however does not relieve ourselves from the duty of improving ourselves to have less idiot moments, double posting, triple posting, quartet posting, running powerplant safety tests with the safety off, or even forgetting the ^12 when calculating the estimated PSI of your fortress' plumbing, all test our resolve and sanity, but if we can learn from our mistakes, we should be less prone to repeat them.
Thank you for reading this far. You may now disregard the message in its entirety.
Addendum: I obviously failed philosophy class. But it was just a cruel joke of moral choises stringing us along to a unwinnable scenario. - Caj Failed for cheating at exam. XD
Edit:: Actually it was because I failed to provide a logical and reasonable reason for answering differently than the options given to me. But as with all strokes of brilliance, you can't quite explain it until you've had time to put words to it all.
