Building Items with a Certain Material?

Is is possible to specifically build an Item (say a leather cloak), out of my nice (Yeti) Leather, instead of my crappy (dog) leather? Or say carve Blocks out of JUST Jet?

Not directly.  But you can influence it by having a stockpile as close as possible to the workshop in question, and that said stockpile only allows for the specific material you want to use.

Hmm, yes thats mostly what I'll do. or i will forbid all the items i dont want them to build with until the job is done. Is there any talk of perhaps using the manger to control what items are built of?
