Senseless war taking up entire core
« on: August 07, 2010, 08:39:57 pm »

I have tried downloading 2 different copies of this game, yet both of them are eating up an entire core of CPU and lagging for aout 3 seconds per frame, even if I run it in administrative mode... Why is this? I would love to try this game but can't sadly.

I have windows 7 64-bit.

Uh, if it's not working, that's probably the problem you should focus on, not that it is taking a lot of CPU cycles.
The two are more than likely unrelated.

Is that a castle/tower defense game where little stick figures try to kill you, and you've basically got the same guys to kill them with?

I think I played a version of that marked as beta, and it was pretty buggy.

Ah sorry, I wasn't clear enough, it is taking up an entire core of CPU and is still lagging, about 3 seconds per frame.

And yeah it sounds like what you described Akura.

Does anyone have any idea? I can't find a forum for the game and google is a swamp of historical and political annoyances.

It's supposed to do that. When your computer explodes and tears you open with shrapnel, you get the full effect of how senseless this war really was.

Okay, so, today this girl I know-Lauren, just took a sudden dis-interest in talking to me. Is she just on her period or something?

That just shows you how little info on this game there is :(

That or do to past googling it automatically links you to anything dwarf fortress related :D

Who knew a search engine could give you such mixed feelings....

Senseless war was awesome, but even more CPU intensive than DF in the later stages...
I've gotta get a hold of a download for that again!
