So, in one of my dorfs mood I got an artifact bow. Not a crossbow, but a bow. I kinda want to use it because it's an artifact.

First, does the quality of the bow/crossbow actually matter much? Would I be better off with a masterwork steel crossbow?
Can I shoot bolts with a bow, or are they crossbow only?
Does the bow/crossbows material have any effect beyond usefulness as mace when your archers glitch out?
And lastly, how do I get my dorfs to actually train marksdorf skill?

You need arrows to use a bow. Unfortunately for you, they're only found as rather small clusters in goblinite and elvinite.

To train, set up some archery ranges (define a room from an archery target)
