Save list state across multiple builds
« on: August 01, 2010, 04:13:00 pm »

I generally find myself building out of one material often, so I think it would be useful to have the material selection list save state.

A simple example: if you are building a fort or some non-square shape, you'll have to enter and exit the 'choose rock type' list a few dozen times.  Instead, with my suggestion, it stores the fact that the last time you were on the list, you chose 'marble'.  When you re-enter that list, it pre-selects 'marble' for you.  If the selection does not exist, it defaults to the first element as it does now.

I think this simple suggestion would save a lot of time.

This a popular suggestion that floats up often.

This one was around last week: http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=61988.0
