BOGO on leather!
« on: July 31, 2010, 03:01:12 pm »

Is it normal, that my axedwarf, killed a deer by slicing it's bottom from it's top, but then having my Butcher butcher the two pieces obtaining two skins, which I tanned and made two deer leather from one deer?

Its perfectly plausible. You'd just get two smaller pieces rather than one bigger piece.

I've noticed this in adventure mode and in arena mode, when you butcher small pieces (such as a paw) of some critter, you'll get bits of skin as well. The way butchering works now is that it goes by volume, so if there is a decently useable bit of skin left on there, it'll appear when you butcher it.

What does BOGO mean though?

Oh right, hehe. :) I just didn't catch the reference when you said it as an acronym.

Ah yeah, me either... something I've just noticed in newspaper ads or sidewalk ads saying "BOGO", I didn't know either till I asked my girlfriend.
