Starcraft-named game?
« on: July 18, 2010, 02:01:12 pm »

There was this game-Really sorta popular, abandonware, and you can also do battles by using gravity and slinging around on planets to attack someone else. Combat was really hard, and you had to find stuff to free Earth. What's the name?

What?  I don't understand what the title of this thread has to do with it.

Star........Control 2?.....

(if by some chance that's it, look up the actual legal free release, Ur-Quan Masters.)

It does have battles that involve slinging yourself around planets.  Combat is really hard.  You do have to find stuff, and you are trying to free Earth.  Also, if you haven't played enough of Star Control 2 to immediately say "Yes, that's it" or "No, that's not it", you need to play it anyway...

Well ... if you broaden "abandonware" so it covers also games abandoned by developers even before releasing, then there is a Starcraft: Ghost.
