Running the Mac version of DF?

So I just came across this game and know very little about it so maybe I'm missing something obvious.

I've just downloaded the Mac OS X version of the game and I've got a folder with some files that look like they're intended for a PC (one is "df" and another is "dwarfort.exe"). Is there something special I'm supposed to do to get this thing to run on OS X?

I've looked through the website and forum and haven't found anything pertaining to this, but perhaps I missed it.
