Monk Challenge: using only what is absolutely needed?
« on: July 08, 2010, 12:53:49 pm »

The name kind of says it all: use and dig out only what is completely needed. Nothing else. A possible exception can be modded workshops like training dummies to train military, because that's currently not functioning as it should (bugged). This should result in low migrant/ high military skilled dwarves.

This means using the smallest spaces possible in as good looking and useful an arrangement as possible. The idea is to train up insanely skilled military.

Anticipated problems: Happiness and Defense.

Happiness depends on the quality of room and things in that room a dwarf has.
Armor and weapons depend on quality for protection/damage.

These are in conflict with the scope of this challenge.

Thoughts?
