Last, and this I've never gotten an answer for, how good are platinum axes, since they have lots of weight but a very poor max edge. I'd calculate it myself, but... guess not.

Test it yourself then, add in the weapon tag to platinum in the raws then go experiment in the arena. All we learnt has been from experiments in the arena, not from calculating the theoretical formula (which only Toady knows).
