When you start a new dude, he pops into existence randomly, with all of the world as potential spots. This might place you at our front gate, or the farthest possible point away. Therefore, if you've already spawned, you are screwed. If you have yet to start a dude, talk to us on here and get our Hearth Secret. It is a short phrase, and you have to remember it. When you start your dude now, there is a person you can tell the phrase, and he will cause you to have a fixed spawn point; right near us.

Yes, but...really do y'all have that many enemies that y'all can't post it in a some what obscure forum?

This forum is obscure?

PM it. Posting it here would end your character's life in a day or less.

In the grand sense of forums, yes.

Well since we've settled that, anyone want to PM me the hearth secret?

I'll get on that. My Internet was being less than enthusiastic about existing yesterday, though it seems we always get the most new posts here when I take an impromptu vacation so maybe that's for the best.

As a brief note, yes, there has been 'spy' activity (at least others reading these forums, anyway, Bay12 isn't really very obscure) going both ways. It's probably paranoid, but still, a hearth secret should really be treated like a password because that's essentially what it is.

I'm also starting to wonder if we (or I) shouldn't make a new topic since I'm getting rather tired of repeating myself* and it is a new world now. At the least make an edit of the original post for the new situation and perhaps with an instructional on how villages, hearth secrets, etc. work.

(*no offense meant, of course, but it is true. I don't really want to direct people to my post back on Page 74 regarding the matter, either!)

Does New Dorenzil still function at all? Or is it just down to Buyan and KoE's town (don't know name  :-[)?
Trying to figure out how to do 2 (or 3) towns in one thread.

As far as I know, Diamondfires/New Dorenzil is pretty well defunct.

I imagine Buyan/you guys aren't recruiting, so I dunno if it's even a thing.

I was actually gonna make the new topic (I have a thing for prose), but I got caught up in stuff I've been letting linger to play H&H. That, and throwing up such a topic during a day(s)-long server crash seemed a grievous mistake.

I can go ahead and make it if you'd prefer (or perhaps even if you don't mind). Whoever does wind up doing it should probably just edit/request an entry from the other entity as regards their recruiting policy.

For now, I need to sleep and dream of actually extant servers.

Also, the town name is in my sig.

We seem to have a trickle of new people into Buyan, but we aren't actively recruiting like you are.
I'd say you should go ahead and make it given that you are the leader of the more publicly active village, and Marty or Potjeh can request their paragraph or w/e be put in.

Here's the new topic. Probably got overly wordy, but eh.

And since I need to rage about it somewhere, damn server crash in the middle of smelting tanking my damn iron quality RGH.
