Where/how would one start a succession game?

It's something I've wondered since reading about Boatmurdered, and now that I've started getting ahold of the game a bit, I was thinking it *might* be a good time to ask.

Edit: Oh, the concept behind succession games is playing the game for a certain period of gametime (usually 1 year) and then sending the save to the next player.
