well after big fights or even during them we get alot of injured dwarves dying as the doctors or any other dwarf for that matter wont rescue them.If we could have a medic that could act like military such as not running away but instead he would pick up the more injured dwarves or even carry a bag full of thread with him to sew up wounds but these would only be temporary.

basic injuries could be dealt with quickly on the field,but for more injured people the medic(s) would haul them away.
