The threat of war

Ok so this is a little idea for later on, probably when burrows start to come in. But I was thinking that a fortress under threat would work differently then a fortress that was in the clear. I mean that if a fortress knows it's going to be attacked, it's soldiers might spar more, smiths would work on more weapons faster and haulers would concentrate more on jobs of the nature of "move those bolts to the ballistae". It would be so much more fun.

Just a little idea.

A good idea, but only if all the dwarves get a "Unable to relax lately" unhappy thought from being under continual threat.

Agreed. There should be like a defcom sort of meter. It would rearrange the priorities of the fortress based on what level it was on.

Defcom? Oh goody. "Ha! Those pesky goblins will never overcome my flood defenses." As a golem integrated into a wall drones out "ATOM BOMB DETECTED."

Lokum Genericname cancelled store item: Nuclear fallout.

Yeah, I know what you mean by Defcom. I'm just messing around. =)
