In a big city.
« on: June 07, 2010, 10:20:48 am »

For the first time I started in a Human town. It seems humans don't have much concept of ownership because the first thing I did was assign their beds to my dwarves, then I collected all their loose food and items to my stockpiles. Seems like quite a boon to begin with so many pre-built things. Any reason I shouldn't be doing this?

Well, if you're ever besieged by humans, they'll all turn on you. Otherwise, go ahead, ransack away.

From the description of the event, I think that your copy of Dwarf Fortress was on drugs when this happened. That's surely the only logical explanation for a human werewolf with deadly farts dying from it's own excrement after slaughtering some goblins comrades.
